On top of that, they are the last thing that their surly and bad tempered brunette opponents, Veronika Vice and Cat Power, want to see. Yet whether Vice and Power like it or not, the show must go on and tonight they are up against the perky duo of Lane and Nevaeh.

21 Woman Battle Royal

This is the opening match from Shimmer volume 19 and was a Royal Rumble-style match with thirty second intervals between entrances and every woman wrestling on the tapings participating. It was announced that the winner would be receiving a title shot in the Volume 19 main event. Normally I'm not a huge fan of battles royale, but with the thirty second intervals things were moving at such a rapid pace that it didn't have time to get boring. There was a scary elimination early, as Serena Deeb went over the top at a bad angle and seemingly landed on the ring steps.

Lexie Fyfe was sporting a brand new haircut that she got five days beforehand when she appeared on Monday Night RAW portraying"Hillary Clinton"in a parody match against a fake "Barack Obama."The new hair style actually makes the heel Fyfe look really cute. The Ohio-based tag team of Ashley Lane & Neveah are a couple of blond bombshells who could have a starring role in any man's dreams. Ashley Lane (previously known as Lexi Lane) took a tremendous beating at the hands of the Experience but had an incredible showing of determination in this match.

Lacey & Rain were wearing their "silicon free" shirts as they were accompanied to the ring by their British doppelganger, Jetta.

This trio of flesh really has a good time teasing the fans during their extended entrance. Ashley Lane & Neveah are a couple of Ohio-based tiny blonds who could be the stars of any young man's dreams. The Home-wreckers could easily eat these two little girls alive, but Ashley and Neveah obviously have a lot to prove!

Alexa Thatcher vs. Ashley Lane

Alexa Thatcher has had some pretty strong outings, but has yet to pick up a victory in SHIMMER competition. I like to call Thatcher every boy's high school crush, because she just looks like that kind of girl. I can't stress enough how good she is in the ring, though. Ashley Lane, who some may know as Lexi Lane, is a tiny skinny blond with not much experience but a whole hell of a lot to prove.

Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews vs. Lorelei Lee and Ashley Lane

As per usual, at the beginning, a fan can be heard shouting that Portia is"Five years old". I'd say closer to 12 maybe... Anyways, I think Portia comes across far more impressively when paired with someone. It brings out her cocky little-person aggressiveness. Matthews is much more laid back. The action kicks off with some strikes by Portia, followed by some quick tagging that sees Ashley Lane pull off a couple of impressive arm-drags. Soon though, she finds herself being worked over much to the enjoyment of the heels.
