This Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match was the headlining men's match on the IWA Mid-South "Volcano Girls" event. It features six of the hardest hitting men in the business today. The match came on the heels of the first singles match between Chris Hero and Samoa Joe the previous evening. It was the first time Punk and Hero faced one another in an IWA-MS ring since November of 2002. Additionally, it was the first time Punk and Whitmer had to team with one another after having a previous rivalry in IWA-MS competition.
