This IWA Women's Division matchup was the first singles meeting in IWA rings between St. Louis area star Daizee Haze and Minnesota's Lacey. The two would go on to battle one another in a series of matches throughout most of the remainder of the year. Referee for the match is a fellow Women's Division wrestler herself, Mickie Knuckles, who also serves in a refereeing capacity when assigned to do so by IWA management. Lacey would later in the year go on to be crowned the first IWA Women's Champion.
Commentators on the match are Dave Prazak and Eddie Kingston.
