It’s the second semi-final round match of the 2002 WXW Elite 8 women’s tournament. This match features Tracy Brooks taking on La Felina, or as she’s better known as today, Gail Kim. It’s very interesting watching this match knowing where both women are in their careers today.
Felina, while already having wrestled in two other matches earlier in the night, was definitely the aggressor in this match. If she was hurt or tired from the matches she certainly wasn’t showing it. Brooks seemed really out of place as nothing she did seemed to damper the energy or aggression from Felina. Would the future WWE women’s champion make her first mark on the wrestling world by winning this tournament, or would the future Knockout come away with the victory?
