We’ve got some more second round action from the 2002 Elite 8 women’s tournament presented by WXW. This second round match features Griffin taking on Valentina. While Griffin is coming off her victory over Jessica Dally, Valentina, like Tracy Brooks, received a bye into the second round.
Griffin, like many of the other women in the tournament really showed a lot of fire in her matches, especially this one. Before the bell even rang, she attacked Valentina, and pretty much dominated her for the rest of the match. The commentators seemed more concerned about ogling over the girl’s ring attire, which is a shame, because these two women competing in this tournament certainly deserved better.
