This was the final round match of a tournament All Pro Wrestling held back in the summer of 2002 to crown a new Universal Heavyweight Champion. Having both wrestled already earlier in the night, both Robert Thompson and American Dragon were tired, battered and bruised, but were hungry for gold.

Thompson, affectionately known to legions of APW fans as “The Bomb” is arguably the most popular superstar in the history of APW and the Pacifica fans sure to let it be known who they wanted as the new champion. After the opening bell, both men locked up and rolled around the ring to all four corners without either being able to come away with an advantage. American Dragon gets frustrated at one point and just slaps Thompson igniting Bomber’s fans to their feet yelling and screaming. Thompson gets so fired up he unleashes a series of forearms on Dragon and nails him with a close line off the ropes that almost decapitates him.
