This was a semi-final round match in a tournament All Pro Wrestling held in the summer of 2002 to crown a new Universal Heavyweight Champion. It featured two of independent wrestling’s most talented wrestlers, American Dragon taking on Chad Collyer, who at the time was under a developmental contract with the WWE.
This match stayed on the mat for the most part. Both are so crisp with their holds and reversals. The Pacifica fans were strongly behind American Dragon as several “U.S.A” chants broke out throughout the crowd.
