MsChif

ClickWrestler of the Week

MsChif has kept her early life very private. She grew up as a fan of wrestling and decided to get started in 2001. She worked for Gateway Championship Wrestling to cut her wrestling teeth. She was trained by Johnny Greenpeace and Jack Adonis. She would turn on Adonis, who had sided with her arch-nemesis, Daizee Haze. MsChif's character has remained the same through her entire career. Her persona is a mix between a Screaming Mimi and a Goth Princess. She is often mistakenly seen as Daffney by some fans, since the two share a similar gimmick. MsChif, however, has not turned her character psychotic, just brutal. MsChif made her pro debut on July 19, 2001, winning in a mid-card battle. One of her first feuds revolved around Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) and Daizee Haze. MsChif would join Sydal in the Ministry of Hate, which wreaked havoc on Haze, Adonis and other faces in GCW. She spent her first three years in the business almost exclusively working in GCW.

In 2004, MsChif went to work for IWA-Mid-South. She continued her feud with Daizee Haze and several other stars from GCW. She made a bid to become NWA Midwest Women's champion but fell short. MsChif also began an on and off feud against Mickie Knuckles. MsChif dominated most of the their battles, many of which reached levels of brutality unseen in past women's matches. MsChif also continued to challenge Daizee Haze for the unified NWA Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's title. MsChif would take the belt, only to drop it to Knuckles. The loss caused a rift between NWA Midwest and IWA Mid-South. The titles were re-split, with Knuckles taking the IWA part and MsChif getting the NWA Midwest segment. Eventually, the two belts would be re-united as a single championship. On January 27, 2007, MsChif challenged NWA Women's World Champion, Christie Ricci. MsChif took her first NWA World Women's title on that night. MsChif would hold the belt until May, when she lost the title in another unification match. Amazing Kong (Awesome Kong) brought the AWA Japan Women's title to battle against MsChif. MsChif would take back the belt in April, 2008, when Kong signed on with TNA. During her NWA stints, MsChif also worked for the all-female organization known as Shimmer. One of MsChif's most intense feuds was against Cheerleader Melissa (Raisha Saeed/Alissa Flash). Their feud would cross over into Ring of Honor, where MsChif would continue her feud with Daizee Haze and others. MsChif would eventually win the Shimmer championship from the company's first champion, Sara Del Ray.

MsChif has been scouted for both TNA and WWE but has yet to accept a position with either. Rumors are that she prefers the flexibility of the indy circuit over the structured systems that TNA and WWE employ. MsChif is recognized as one of the top three indy stars, along with Daizee Haze and April Hunter. MsChif deserves much credit for her 8 years in the business.
