The match began with both women circling and sizing each other up. Kei Akiyama was able to get Shuu Shibutani in to a headlock early on. Shibutani fought back and sent Akiyama into the ropes and nailed her with a dropkick square in the gut. Shibutani then hit her with two more dropkicks and a body slam.
Later in the match the action went to the outside of the ring when Akiyama missed a baseball slide on Shitutani and slid to the outside of the ring. She tried to get back up into the ring but Shibutani kicked her back down. Shibutani then got all fired up and went to the top turnbuckle and performed an amazing cross body dive to the outside of the ring right onto Akiyama.
