This was a first round match in the IWA-MS "Revolution 2004" strong style tournament, and took place prior to their much talked about ROH title bout later in the year. Aries demonstrated that the size difference between he and Joe would not be a factor in remaining highly competitive as they struggled to advance to the second round on that night.
